Financial Aid

At Florida Academy our main goal is to provide quality education for every student. We believe that everyone should have the possibility to achieve their career dreams, so we facilitate that through fast-track program options, flexible class schedules, and financial aid opportunities for students who qualify.

Our experienced financial aid team will assist you in discovering what types of financial aid you may qualify for. Below you will find a checklist to help you get started.

Get Organized

There are several pieces of information you’ll need to have on hand prior to applying for financial aid, including:

  • Your Social Security number
  • Your most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
  • FSA ID to sign electronically

If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).

Determine Eligibility

In order to determine eligibility, you’ll need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Even if you are unsure if you’ll qualify for any type of aid, it’s a good idea to fill out an application. You can access the online application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

You’ll want to keep important deadlines in mind when applying. You can find deadline information at www.fafsa.ed.gov/deadlines.htm.

Meet with a Florida Academy Financial Aid Representative

After your FAFSA is processed, you’ll receive your Student Aid Report (SAR), which will summarize your eligibility for federal student aid. Bring this with you to your financial aid appointment, and our team will review it with you and discuss your options for various types of student aid that may be available to you based on your qualifications.
