The Florida Academy school, located in Fort Myers, FL, provides a nationally accredited HVAC/R Technology program. The HVAC/R Technology program is built around experienced instructors, industry equipment, and trusted brand names such as Carrier, Bryant, and Lennox. At Florida Academy, we know that you don’t learn how to become an HVAC/R technician with just books alone. That’s why we have our students cut and assemble black pipe for gas lines, wire high- and low-voltage lines to the heating and cooling equipment – all with professional instructors there to show you the way. Our workshop is set up with the same equipment you’ll encounter out in the field including:

HVAC/R TECHNOLOGY COURSE CURRICULUM
Florida Academy’s HVAC/R Technology program is focused on providing hands-on training in simulated real world environments. In this program students will can expect to learn:

  • Learn traditional HVAC/R fundamentals from experienced instructors
  • Learn green technology
  • Gain troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills
  • Learn work-safety practices

In addition to achieving the HVAC/R Technology Level I Certificate, your coursework will include the principles and concepts associated with the EPA Section 608 Universal Certification. With this knowledge you will have the opportunity to take the EPA Universal examination. When you are interviewing for a job after graduation, that’s one more thing you will have that the competition won’t.
