Upon completing our accredited program and passing the final exam, you will be able to apply for your license through the state of Florida. At Florida Academy’s nail technician program, students will learn the necessary foundational knowledge to become a nail technician. You will also learn how to successfully communicate with clients, market your business, and grow and maintain a clientele base. Proper safety and sanitation techniques are continually practiced throughout the program.

Students begin by learning structures and disorders of the skin and nails. Program curriculum includes the demonstration of various techniques and artwork followed by supervised practice. This course establishes a foundation for further study and provides a common orientation and language for all students. Emphasis is placed on sanitation, sterilization, ergonomics, and communication with every client to ensure customer satisfaction. As the course progresses, students will be encouraged to use their own creativity and ideas to create nail masterpieces.
